Troubleshoot no sound Windows

If you are not hearing any sound on your Windows device, there are several potential reasons for this.
Here are some steps you can try to fix the problem:

  1. Check your volume settings: Click the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, then make sure the volume is turned up and the mute button is not enabled.
  2. Check your sound device: Open the Control Panel and go to “Hardware and Sound,” then click “Manage audio devices.” In the Sound window, make sure the correct audio device is selected and the volume is turned up.
  3. Update your audio drivers: In the Device Manager, expand the “Sound, video and game controllers” section, then right-click on your audio device and select “Update driver.”
  4. Restart your device: If all else fails, try restarting your device. This can sometimes resolve sound issues.
  5. Check your speakers, and try to plug in an external sound system.
